# Purchase

`Purchase` is the standard conversion AnyTrack records when it receives an event carrying a **monetary value** — a completed sale. It is one *type* of [Conversion](/glossary/conversion), distinct from `Lead` (zero value) and `CompleteRegistration` (a lead that carries a value).

## What a Purchase means for each marketer

- **Affiliate marketer:** A network-reported sale with a payout (amount > 0).
- **eCommerce marketer:** A Shopify or Woo order — the headline conversion.
- **Lead-gen marketer:** Applies when the offer sells a product, not just captures a lead.
- **Business owner:** A revenue event for their own product.

## Purchase vs Conversion

- [Conversion](/glossary/conversion) — the umbrella; Purchase is one type.

## How AnyTrack handles a Purchase

A `Purchase` maps automatically to Facebook `Purchase`, Google `purchase`, and TikTok `CompletePayment`. The trigger is the platform's order or sale event (for Shopify, the `orders/create` webhook — **not** "Order paid"). eCommerce purchases also arrive server-side via webhook, so they survive ad-blocker and iOS loss.
