Beta features access

Learn how AnyTrack handles Beta features, who gets access, and what to expect when they are out of the testing phase.

At AnyTrack, we continuously release new features to help you improve your tracking, attribution, and automation workflows. Some of these features are introduced in Beta before being made generally available.

This article explains what it means when a feature is in Beta, how access is managed, and what to expect regarding billing when the Beta phase ends.

πŸ” What Is a Beta Feature?

A Beta feature is a new capability that is:

  • Released for public testing – Available to all AnyTrack customers by default.
  • Still under active development – May change based on feedback, usage patterns, and performance.
  • Free during the Beta – There is no additional cost to use Beta features while they remain in the Beta phase.

πŸ’‘ Why We Release Features in Beta

Beta phases allow us to:

  • Validate performance across a range of use cases and customer setups.
  • Identify edge cases or potential issues before a full release.
  • Collect real-world feedback to refine functionality and UX.

This collaborative process helps us ensure that new features meet high standards of stability, usefulness, and compatibility.

πŸ” Who Has Access to Beta Features?

All AnyTrack customers β€” across all plans β€” may gain access to Beta features during the testing period.

Access is typically enabled by default unless a feature is gated due to complexity or platform compatibility. If needed, your Success Manager can help activate the feature in your account.

πŸ’³ Billing After Beta

While Beta features are free during the Beta period, most will transition to one of the following once the Beta ends:

  1. Standard Feature
β†’ Included in your current plan.

  2. Add-On
β†’ Available at an additional cost, either as a fixed fee or usage-based billing.

In the case of an Add-On, we will:

  • Provide advance notice before billing begins.
  • Share pricing details and plan compatibility.
  • Offer the option to disable the feature before charges apply.

πŸ“… How Long Will the Beta Last?

The Beta period typically lasts a few months, depending on:

  • Customer adoption and feedback
  • Technical performance
  • Strategic prioritization

While we aim for a ~2-month window, there is no fixed deadline. We’ll update this article and notify customers when timelines are confirmed.

πŸ“£ How You Can Help

Your feedback is critical to making this feature a success.

If you're using a Beta feature and notice issues or have suggestions:

  • Mention the feature name and your use case
  • We track all input internally to prioritize fixes and enhancements

πŸ”„ What Happens at the End of the Beta?

You will receive:

  • A product notification in your dashboard
  • A billing notice (if the feature becomes an add-on)
  • The ability to opt in or out of the paid version

We’re committed to transparency and will never activate paid billing without prior communication.
