Setting Up Conversion Tracking in Google Ads

Step by step guide

  1. Navigate to Google Ads Conversions

Go to the Google Ads conversions page.

  1. Open the goals section and create a new conversion

In Google Ads, open the Goals section and create a new conversion action.

  1. Select Website as the conversion source

Choose Website as the conversion source.

Enter your website domain, e.g., anytrack.io.

Select and add a conversion action manually from the options.

  1. Choose a conversion category

Click Select category and choose an appropriate conversion type (e.g., Purchase).

Set the conversion name, select β€œEvery” conversion, and adjust attribution settings as needed.

  1. Create additional conversions if needed

Repeat the process to add more conversion actions, such as Add to Cart or Sign-up.

  1. Finalize and save

Once all desired conversions are added, disable account default goals if not required. Save your setup. You do not need to select Google Tag Manager at this stage.
