Verify your setup

Confirm your AnyTrack setup is working end to end — tracking tag, conversion source, ad platform, and reports — with a clear pass/fail signal at each step.

Use this page to confirm your AnyTrack setup is working — from the tracking tag on your site all the way to conversions reaching your ad platforms. Work through it in order: each step depends on the one before it, and each has a clear “it’s working” signal.

Every setup starts with the AnyTrack Tag loading on your site, funnel, or landing pages.

  • Where it goes: in the <head> section of every page of your website or funnel.
  • How to verify: install the AnyTrack Pixel Helper Chrome extension, visit your site, and confirm the icon turns blue.
  • Also confirm: open your Property → Live Events and watch PageView events and sessions arrive in real time as you browse.

✓ Working: Pixel Helper is blue and PageView events appear in Live Events. ✗ Not working: the icon stays grey, or no PageView events arrive → the tag isn’t installed (or not on that page). Fix this before continuing — nothing downstream works without it.

This is the step most issues trace back to. Before AnyTrack can send anything to your ad platforms, it has to receive the conversion from your conversion source (Shopify, ClickFunnels, an affiliate network, your CRM, etc.).

  1. Confirm you followed every step of the integration’s setup instructions in the Integration Catalog. Each integration has different requirements — a skipped step is the most common cause of missing conversions.
  2. Go to Integrations → [your integration] → Settings → Events Log.
  3. Watch the Events Log for events arriving in real time. Run a test conversion (a test order, form submit, or sale) and confirm it appears.

✓ Working: your test conversion appears in the Events Log and in the Conversion Report. ✗ Not working: see the Events Log guidance above — fix the source before checking your ad platform.

Step 3: Conversions are sent to your ad platforms

Section titled “Step 3: Conversions are sent to your ad platforms”

Once AnyTrack is receiving conversions, confirm they’re being sent out. How you verify depends on the platform.

Meta, Google, TikTok

These platforms connect via OAuth and map conversions automatically.

  1. Connected / authenticated: open your Campaign Report — you should see campaign data that AnyTrack has fetched from the ad platform.
    • No campaign data? Confirm you actually have running campaigns, then wait a few minutes for the sync to complete.
  2. Conversion API enabled: confirm CAPI is turned on in the ads integration settings. Without it, nothing is sent.
  3. Event mapping:
    • Meta & TikTok: leave the default mapping unchanged — conversions are mapped automatically.
    • Google Ads: verify each AnyTrack conversion (left) is mapped to the corresponding Google conversion action (right). If you completed onboarding, this is already mapped. See Event Mapping.
  4. UTM template added (required for accurate attribution):
    • In the ads integration, copy the UTM template and add it to your ads following each platform’s requirement — see the UTM Parameters guide and the Facebook UTM template.
    • Use Verify Ads in the integration to confirm your ads carry the required parameters. If an ad isn’t green, open it, see which parameter is missing, and fix it.
  5. Test it:
    • Meta & TikTok: use Test Mode to confirm events arrive with the right parameters in real time.
    • Google: there’s no live test mode — you have to wait for a real conversion to hit your ad account. To watch events in real time, enable the GA4 Debug View.

Bing / Microsoft, Taboola, Outbrain

These platforms use a manual setup — there’s no automatic mapping or live test mode.

  1. Complete the manual setup steps for the platform.
  2. Enable the Conversion API in the AnyTrack integration.
  3. Create the conversion goals inside the ad platform, following its guidelines.
  4. Add the UTM template to your ad account according to the platform’s guidelines.

Then confirm conversions arrive on the ad platform’s own reporting once a real conversion comes through.

✓ Working: Campaign Report shows campaign data, CAPI is on, Verify Ads is green, and Test Mode (or a real conversion) shows events arriving with the right parameters.

Tracking is live and data is flowing — now make your reports show what you need.

  • Campaign Report: customize your columns to match your business goals — select and reorder columns, then save the view for you and your team.
  • Conversion Report: verify each event is tracked correctly by filtering the report by individual event type.

Common Questions

FAQ was last reviewed on 2026-06-30

My conversion shows in AnyTrack but not in my ad platform. Why?
Check three things in order: (1) the Conversion API is enabled on that ad integration — AnyTrack only sends via CAPI; (2) for Meta and TikTok, allow a short delay (Meta Event Manager typically updates within 15–20 minutes); (3) your event mapping points to the right conversion. If the conversion is in AnyTrack's Conversion Report, the tag and source are fine — the issue is in the ad integration settings.
My Campaign Report has no campaign data. Is my setup broken?
Not necessarily. Campaign data is fetched from your ad platform, so confirm you have active running campaigns and wait a few minutes for the sync to complete. Separately, conversions only appear once they've been tracked by AnyTrack and the ads carry the UTM template, so make sure you've added and verified the UTM template on your ads.
Do I need to enable the Conversion API?
Yes, if you want conversions sent to your ad accounts. AnyTrack sends conversions to ad platforms exclusively via the Conversion API. With CAPI disabled, AnyTrack will still track conversions internally, but it won't forward them to that ad platform.
How do I test conversions before going live?
Run a real test conversion through your funnel (a test order, form submit, or sale) and watch the integration Events Log. For Meta and TikTok you can also use Test Mode to inspect the outgoing event payload. For Google Ads there's no live test mode — wait for a real conversion, or enable the GA4 Debug View to watch events in real time.
Why is my integration still showing as unvalidated?
An integration stays unvalidated until it receives its first valid conversion. Run a test conversion to validate it. Errors right after install are common when earlier traffic wasn't tracked by AnyTrack and then triggered a late conversion — once a properly tracked conversion comes through, the integration validates.
