Proration is the billing adjustment subscription services apply when a plan changes in the middle of a billing period. The provider calculates the unused time on the current plan, issues that amount as a credit, and charges for the new plan. The customer pays only once for any given period.
How AnyTrack handles proration
Section titled βHow AnyTrack handles prorationβAnyTrack prorates every plan change, in both directions, and never refunds a plan-change payment:
- Upgrade β the change takes effect immediately. The payment is prorated to reflect the new plan, and the invoice lists each proration line.
- Downgrade β there is no refund for the unused time on the current plan. Stripe credits the unused time toward the price of the new plan.
A prorated credit is not a refund: no money returns to the payment method. See Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan and the Refund Policy.
Frequently asked questions
FAQ was last reviewed on 2026-08-03
Do I get money back when I downgrade my plan?
No. AnyTrack does not refund payments on plan changes. Stripe prorates the billing: the unused time on the current plan becomes a credit toward the price of the new plan.
Will I pay twice if I switch plans in the middle of a billing cycle?
No. Proration charges only the difference. The unused time on the current plan is credited toward the new plan, and the invoice lists each proration line.
