Proration

Proration is the billing adjustment subscription services apply when a plan changes in the middle of a billing period. The provider calculates the unused time on the current plan, issues that amount as a credit, and charges for the new plan. The customer pays only once for any given period.

AnyTrack prorates every plan change, in both directions, and never refunds a plan-change payment:

  • Upgrade β€” the change takes effect immediately. The payment is prorated to reflect the new plan, and the invoice lists each proration line.
  • Downgrade β€” there is no refund for the unused time on the current plan. Stripe credits the unused time toward the price of the new plan.

A prorated credit is not a refund: no money returns to the payment method. See Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan and the Refund Policy.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ was last reviewed on 2026-08-03

Do I get money back when I downgrade my plan?
No. AnyTrack does not refund payments on plan changes. Stripe prorates the billing: the unused time on the current plan becomes a credit toward the price of the new plan.
Will I pay twice if I switch plans in the middle of a billing cycle?
No. Proration charges only the difference. The unused time on the current plan is credited toward the new plan, and the invoice lists each proration line.
