Tracking Pixel

A Tracking Pixel in AnyTrack is an ad platform’s own tag — the Meta Pixel, Google Tag, TikTok Pixel, Microsoft Ads UET, Outbrain or Taboola pixel — connected and managed from the dashboard’s Tracking Pixels menu. AnyTrack is the tag manager: its own Tracking Tag loads each platform’s pixel for you, so you do not install them separately.

Tracking Pixels vs Integrations: the direction split

Section titled “Tracking Pixels vs Integrations: the direction split”

The dashboard separates two menus that are routinely confused, and they point in opposite directions:

  • Tracking Pixels — ad platforms AnyTrack sends conversions out to (Meta, Google, TikTok, Microsoft, Outbrain, Taboola).
  • Integrations — conversion sources that send events in to AnyTrack (Shopify, WooCommerce, ClickFunnels, GoHighLevel, affiliate networks, Postback URL custom integrations).

Consequences worth stating plainly: the Events Log exists only on Integrations — ad-platform pixels have no Events Log; there is no ad platform to add under Integrations; ad-platform settings and event mapping live at Tracking Pixels > platform; and no screen shows the raw per-event API response from an ad platform.

The menu is “Tracking Pixels” (plural). Each entry is named per platform: Meta Pixel (not “Facebook Pixel”, not “Meta Dataset”, never “Facebook Tracking Tag”), Google Tag, TikTok Pixel. Reserve “Tracking Tag” exclusively for AnyTrack’s own installed script.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ was last reviewed on 2026-08-01

Where is the Events Log for my Google Ads or Meta pixel?
There is none — the Events Log exists only on Integrations (conversion sources sending data in). Ad-platform pixels have no Events Log; to confirm a conversion was recorded, open the Event Log of the integration that sent it.
Should I add Google Ads or Meta under Integrations?
No. Ad platforms are never added under Integrations — they are connected under Tracking Pixels. Integrations are conversion sources only.
What is each pixel called?
The menu is Tracking Pixels. The Facebook entry is the Meta Pixel (Meta's own UI now calls it a Dataset), the Google entry is the Google Tag, and TikTok is the TikTok Pixel. Only AnyTrack's own script is called the Tracking Tag.
