Click Loss

Click loss is paid clicks that never reach their destination or are never recorded — usually because a browser blocks the redirect or tracking subdomain in the click path. Every lost click is ad spend with nothing to show for it: no visitor delivered, no attribution collected.

What causes click loss and how AnyTrack prevents it

Section titled “What causes click loss and how AnyTrack prevents it”

The most common cause is redirect-based tracking: iOS Safari, Firefox, and privacy-focused browsers block the CNAME-cloaked subdomains that traditional trackers redirect through, so the visitor you paid for never arrives. AnyTrack’s redirectless tracking removes the redirect step entirely — there is no redirect to block — so the click is collected client-side by the Tracking Tag and attribution stays intact.

  • Affiliate marketer: a blocked redirect means no recorded click and no possible postback.
  • eCommerce marketer: visitors dropped between the ad and the store, widening the ad-vs-actual gap.
  • Lead-gen marketer: the Click ID is never collected, so the lead can’t be pushed back server-side.
  • Business owner: spend that bought a click you can never see or attribute.
