CPC (cost per click) is the average ad spend paid for each click on an ad — ad spend divided by the number of clicks. It prices the traffic a campaign buys, sitting between impression cost (CPM) and outcome cost (CPA) in the funnel.

CPC vs CPM vs CPA vs Link Click

- CPA — CPA measures the cost of a conversion; many clicks (each costing a CPC) usually precede one acquisition.
- Link Click — the click event CPC divides spend by; CPC is a cost, a link click is a count.
